Wings of Flame is a 2D platformer for mature audiences (16+), combining action, shooting, and puzzle-solving.

The game explores themes of loss, personal growth, and emotional healing through a powerful story, visual contrasts, and deep player-character connection.

Story - Set in a fantasy world inspired by ancient China, the game follows Feng, a once-legendary warrior from the Phoenix Tribe, who lost one of his wings in battle against the Iron Talon Army. Defeated and broken, Feng retreats from combat, until he discovers alchemy and crafts a fireworks-powered jetpack and an arm-mounted cannon that allow him to fly again — in his own way.

When his village is threatened, Feng embarks on a journey to save his people and reclaim his lost honor.

Gameplay - Players control Feng as he flies using his fireworks pack and collects ingredients to craft unique alchemical bombs. These bombs are used strategically in combat and puzzle situations. Along the journey, Feng meets allies who support his mission and enrich the narrative.

Visual design - The visual design reflects Feng’s emotional and physical fracture. The game features a hand-drawn, gritty aesthetic with strong contrasts between darkness and light, symbolizing the internal battle between despair and hope.

The fireworks and alchemical effects serve as visual metaphors for power, madness, and inner strength breaking through.
